How the AI decides what to reorder

The engine balances three forces, all derived from your live ledger:

• Sales velocity — units sold per day, weighted toward recent activity. The production engine handles seasonal patterns (Eid, Ramadan, summer slowdown, Q4 corporate gifting) automatically; this demo uses a simple 90-day average.
• Vendor lead time — calendar days from PO to receipt. UAE customs clearance is typically 1-3 days for imports; Free Zone distribution is same-day to next-day.
• Stock-out cost — what does a stock-out cost you? For fast-moving consumables the cost is mostly lost sales; for slow-moving specialty items the cost may be a key customer relationship.

The reorder formula:

• Days of cover remaining = on-hand quantity ÷ daily velocity
• Reorder point = (daily velocity × lead time) + safety stock
• Recommended reorder quantity = enough to bring cover back to the target stock level (typically 60 days for fast movers, 90+ for slow movers)

The status flags in the table:

• URGENT — stock-out predicted within the lead time. Place order today.
• REORDER NOW — at or below the reorder point. Place order this week.
• OK — sufficient cover. Re-check next cycle.

What it doesn't do

This is a demo with static sales velocity. In production HIBR also factors in: upcoming campaigns (you flag a Ramadan promotion → expected velocity adjusts), supplier-specific MOQs and pricing breaks, holding-cost optimization (EOQ formula with carrying cost from your accounting), and stock-out cost overrides per SKU.
