HIBR ERP × Telr: accept cards on your invoices, auto-reconciled in your ledger

By Hibr AI Editorial Updated May 2026 6 min read

Telr is the UAE's longest-running online payment gateway. Founded in Dubai in 2014 and licensed by the UAE Central Bank under the framework derived from Federal Decree-Law 14/2018 on payment systems and electronic payment services, Telr processes card payments for tens of thousands of UAE merchants — from boutique restaurants in JLT to enterprise e-commerce platforms in Abu Dhabi. It supports Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, mada (Saudi), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and OmanNet, settles in AED to any UAE bank account, and is one of the few UAE-headquartered gateways that publishes its uptime metrics. Inside HIBR ERP, Telr is wired in natively: every invoice you raise, every WhatsApp payment link you send, and every storefront checkout can route to your Telr merchant account with zero developer time — and when Telr posts a settlement to your bank, HIBR reconciles it line-by-line against the originating invoices automatically.

What this integration does

  • One-click payment links on every invoice. When you send an invoice from HIBR ERP, the PDF and WhatsApp message include a "Pay with card" button that opens Telr's hosted checkout. Customer pays, invoice auto-marks as paid, VAT entry posts.
  • Storefront checkout. If you run an online store on HIBR's bundled commerce module, Telr is the default UAE payment processor at checkout — including Apple Pay and Google Pay via Telr's mobile SDK.
  • POS card terminal mode. Telr's HiveX terminals plug into the HIBR POS for in-store card payments. Same gateway, same reconciliation, single payout file.
  • Automatic settlement reconciliation. Telr posts daily payouts to your registered UAE bank. HIBR fetches the Telr payout file via API, matches each line to the originating invoice, and books the merchant fee as an expense — no spreadsheet reconciliation required.
  • Refund flow from the invoice. Hit "Refund" on a HIBR invoice and the refund triggers in Telr in the same screen. A credit note is created, the ledger is reversed, and VAT is adjusted under the FTA rules for refunds.
  • Recurring payments and saved cards. For subscription invoicing — gym memberships, monthly retainers, school fees — Telr's tokenisation handles saved-card billing while HIBR drives the schedule.

Setup in 8 minutes

  1. Open HIBR ERP → Settings → Payments → Add gateway → Telr. You'll be prompted for your Telr store ID and authentication key, which are visible in your Telr merchant dashboard under Developer → API Keys.
  2. Paste credentials and pick a default deposit account. This is the HIBR ledger account where Telr settlements land (typically your operating bank account in AED).
  3. Approve a test charge of 1. HIBR runs a live 1 AED transaction and an immediate refund to confirm credentials, webhook endpoint, and settlement match. Takes about 90 seconds.
  4. Map the merchant fee account. Choose the expense account where Telr's processing fees are booked (default: "Payment processing fees"). You can split MDR fees by emirate or by product if needed.
  5. Enable Telr on the channels you want. Tick boxes for: customer invoices, WhatsApp pay links, online store, POS terminal. Save. Done.

Use cases

Dubai Marina restaurant — WhatsApp invoicing. A casual-dining venue in Marina sends bills via WhatsApp at the table. The waiter taps "Send via WhatsApp" in HIBR POS, the guest gets a Telr-hosted card link, pays from their phone, and the invoice is reconciled in HIBR before the guest stands up. Settlement lands in the restaurant's Emirates NBD account the next business day, already booked against the right table.
Abu Dhabi B2B equipment supplier — credit terms with optional card pay. Sells industrial equipment to construction firms on 30-day terms, but offers a 1.5% discount for early card payment via the invoice link. About 18% of customers take it. HIBR books the discount as a reduction in revenue, the Telr fee as a processing expense, and the net into the bank — all automatically.
Sharjah-based fitness studio — recurring subscriptions. Sells monthly memberships at 350. Member subscribes once via the HIBR online store on a Telr-tokenised card. Every 30 days, HIBR auto-bills the saved card via Telr, posts the invoice, recognises VAT under FTA rules, and emails the customer the receipt in Arabic and English.
Pricing. The Telr integration is included free in HIBR ERP Lite (199/mo), Pro (499/mo), and Enterprise (14,990/yr). You pay Telr's standard MDR directly — typically 2.49% + 1 per transaction on UAE-issued cards, lower with negotiated volumes. HIBR adds no markup, takes no commission, and does not touch the funds flow.

Frequently asked questions

Does the integration work for both online and in-store payments?

Yes. Online flows go through Telr's hosted checkout or the embedded SDK on your storefront. In-store flows use Telr's HiveX POS terminals connected to the HIBR POS app. Both reconcile through the same daily settlement file.

What happens if a Telr settlement doesn't match my HIBR invoices?

HIBR flags any unmatched line in the Reconciliation queue. The common cause is a refund processed directly in the Telr dashboard rather than in HIBR — once you mark the matching invoice as refunded, the line clears. We have not seen unexplained variances inside our beta cohort to date.

Is the Telr integration FTA-compliant for e-invoicing?

Telr is the payment rail; FTA e-invoicing compliance lives in HIBR ERP itself. HIBR generates Phase-1 PEPPOL PINT-AE e-invoices (mandate effective July 2026 for B2G) regardless of which gateway processes the actual payment. The Telr transaction reference is captured on the invoice as the payment evidence.
