Aramex is the courier most UAE SMBs reach for first. Founded in Amman in 1982, headquartered in Dubai since 2002, and listed on the DFM, Aramex operates one of the densest courier networks in the UAE and across MENA — same-day inside Dubai, next-day across all seven emirates, regional ground freight to the GCC, and Priority Letter Express worldwide. UAE retailers, e-commerce stores, and B2B distributors use Aramex because the rate card is well-understood, COD is a first-class service, and the brand is trusted by customers across age and demographic groups. Inside HIBR ERP, Aramex is wired in natively: shipments dispatch from your POS or back-office in one click, AWB labels print to your label printer, live tracking flows back into the customer-facing order page, COD remittances reconcile automatically, and inventory deducts on dispatch — not on order entry — so you don't oversell when you've already shipped.
What this integration does
- One-click ship from order or POS. Order in HIBR → "Ship via Aramex" → choose service (Same-Day, Next-Day, Regional, International) → AWB generated, label prints, customer gets a tracking link via SMS or WhatsApp.
- Auto-rate at quote time. When you generate a quote with delivery, HIBR queries Aramex's live rate API based on origin, destination, weight, and dimensions — so the customer sees the right shipping charge before payment.
- Live tracking inside the order. Each Aramex shipment status (picked up, in transit, out for delivery, delivered, undeliverable) streams back into HIBR and notifies the customer in their preferred language and channel.
- COD reconciliation. Aramex daily COD remittance file ingests into HIBR overnight. Each line matches the originating invoice, books the COD service fee as a logistics expense, and posts net cash to the bank GL.
- Inventory deducts on dispatch. Stock decrements only when Aramex confirms pickup — protects against overselling when an order is paid but not yet collected by the courier.
- Returns and reverse logistics. Issue an Aramex return AWB from the original order in HIBR; when the parcel comes back, HIBR receives it into the right warehouse location and refunds the customer if pre-authorised.
Setup in 8 minutes
- HIBR ERP → Settings → Couriers → Add courier → Aramex. Paste your Aramex Account Number, Account PIN, Username, and Password (these are the standard Aramex API credentials, available from your Aramex account manager).
- Map your warehouse locations to Aramex pickup addresses. Each HIBR warehouse points to a registered Aramex pickup address. Multi-warehouse SMBs can ship from the nearest location automatically.
- Set default service per channel. POS sales might default to Same-Day Dubai; storefront orders to Next-Day UAE; B2B orders to a specific Aramex ground rate. Defaults are overridable per shipment.
- Configure label printer. Connect any thermal label printer (Zebra, TSC, Brother) and HIBR sends labels in the format Aramex expects.
- Test with a 1 dummy shipment (recommended). Aramex provides a test API mode; HIBR runs an end-to-end flow without billing your account.

Frequently asked questions
Does HIBR support Aramex Shop & Ship for receiving international goods?
Shop & Ship is a consumer-side product. For inbound logistics, HIBR receives parcels at the registered warehouse via Aramex Pickup Centre integrations on the Enterprise tier.
Can I switch couriers per order without reconfiguring?
Yes. Each shipment dropdown shows live rates for every connected courier — Aramex, Fetchr, and others. Staff pick the right courier per order; HIBR's logic suggests the cheapest or fastest based on rules you set.
What happens if Aramex flags a shipment as undeliverable?
HIBR surfaces it in the Exceptions queue with the Aramex reason code. You decide: reattempt delivery, switch courier, change address, or trigger a return. Each action posts the correct accounting entry — including any Aramex undeliverable fee — to the right GL.
