Do I need Google Workspace Business or Enterprise to use the integration?

Any Google Workspace plan that includes Google Cloud Identity is supported: Business Starter, Standard, Plus, and the Enterprise tiers. Free consumer Gmail accounts (@gmail.com) are not supported for SSO and admin-controlled integration; you need a Workspace domain like yourcompany.ae.

Where do my documents live — in Drive or in HIBR storage?

In your Drive. HIBR ERP creates Shared Drive folders per customer, supplier, or engagement and links documents by Drive ID. Files stay in Drive under your tenant's sharing rules, retention policy, and Vault settings. HIBR adds context, not duplication.

How does this handle UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law 45/2021)?

Setup in 10 minutes

Open HIBR ERP → Settings → Identity & SSO → Add provider → Google Workspace. Click "Connect Google Workspace".
Admin-consent the HIBR Marketplace app. A Workspace super-admin approves the requested OAuth scopes: profile, calendar read/write, Drive file scope, Gmail metadata + send, Chat post, Admin SDK groups.readonly.
Map Google Groups to HIBR roles. Decide which Workspace groups map to HIBR roles (Admin, Finance, Sales, Operations, Read-only). Group changes auto-propagate.

Frequently asked questions

Can HIBR support a mixed Microsoft + Google environment?

Yes. Some UAE groups run Microsoft 365 for the corporate parent and Google Workspace in a subsidiary or creative team. HIBR supports both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace as identity providers at the same time. Each user signs in through whichever provider their account belongs to.

How does the Gmail attach feature handle sensitive content?

HIBR uses Gmail's metadata + selective body scopes. Email body and attachments are attached to contact records only when the contact is already in HIBR; HIBR does not scan unrelated personal mail. Workspace admins can disable body attachment via the integration settings while keeping metadata-only logging.

What about Looker Studio and Sheets reporting?

HIBR ERP exposes a Looker-friendly data view and a direct Sheets connector for finance and operations teams that prefer to build their own dashboards. Pulled data respects the user's HIBR role.
